The Minister of Public Safety is speaking up about the controversial transfer of a child killer to a healing centre. Terri-Lynne McClintic was sentenced to life in prison in 2010 after confessing to killing Tori Stafford in 2009. She was transferred last December to an Indigenous healing lodge near Maple Creek. Ralph Goodale says the Correctional Service of Canada has been instructed to review this matter. He says he has two objectives when it comes to the Correctional Service of Canada led review. That’s to make sure the public is properly protected and that justice is done in all of the circumstances. McClintic was sentenced in 2010 to life in prison after confessing to murdering Tori Stafford the year before.
