Statistics Canada says the country gained 63,000 jobs in September, edging the unemployment rate lower to 5.9 per cent from six per cent in August. Saskatchewan’s rate fell to 6.4 from 6.7. Four provinces were lower. Regina rose to 6.4 from 6.3. Saskatoon rose to 7.4 from 7.2. Of 34 cities surveyed, 30 had lower rates than Saskatoon.
