The Saskatoon Police Department had a traffic safety initiative on Wednesday afternoon. They were at several locations watching for cell phone users. October is Distracted Driving month. In a tweet they report a total of 115 traffic charges laid. Of those, 51 were for drivers using, holding, viewing, or manipulating cell phones. That’s good for a $280 fine and a loss of 4 points.
