The Saskatoon Blades are in the market for a 20-year-old. Overage forward Brad Goethals has asked for his release and did not make the Alberta road trip. Goethals had 15 goals and 17 assists in 69 games last season and counted one goal in three starts this season. Head coach Mitch Love said Goethals made the request Monday morning and the team has granted his release. Love said they wish the veteran all the best in his future. That leaves Saskatoon with two over-agers heading into Tuesday night’s game in Red Deer. Many teams are over the three 20-year-old limit and will be looking to make deals before the Oct. 10 deadline.
