Don Kramer will receive the ABEX Community Leader of the Year Award. The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce says it is in recognition of his dedication to Saskatchewan communities. Don Kramer was President and CEO of Kramer Tractor Company from 1978 until his death in August 2018.
The Chamber also notes that Mr. Kramer was a strong supporter of many organizations but kept a low profile in regards to his involvement with United Way, Hospitals of Regina, St. Paul’s Hospital Junior Achievement, the Saskatchewan Science Centre, Marion Centre, American Schools of Oriental Research, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Campion College at the U of R, Santa Maria Seniors Citizens Home, the YMCA, RCMP, Kramer Home and the Donald and Claire Kramer Foundation. And those are just some of the organizations Mr. Kramer supported for many years.
His generosity also extended to the arts including Regina Symphony, Globe Theatre, Saskatchewan Foundation for the Arts, Mackenzie Art Gallery, the Mendal Art Gallery and the Saskatchewan Craft Council.
Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce CEO Steve McLellan says Don Kramer’s quiet generosity uplifted communities and individuals across Saskatchewan.
