Saskatchewan’s Premier is still on top of the provincial premier approval list. The polling company, DART Insight, says Scott Moe has an approval rating of 55 per cent. That’s a drop of 1 per cent from the previous quarter. However it’s still up three points since winning the leadership race in January and succeeding former Premier Brad Wall. DART believes several factors have kept him popular such as his recent trade mission to China, his high profile on NAFTA talks, a call for the Trans Mountain pipeline to move ahead, and his opposition to the Trudeau Government carbon tax.
British Columbia Premier John Horgan is the next most popular premier with a rating of 49 per cent. Dwight Ball of Newfoundland and Labrador is enjoying a 10 per cent rise at 42 per cent. Manitoba’s Brian Pallister sits at 42 per cent and Alberta’s Rachel Notley is at 41 per cent. Her rating is a 6 point increase.
