The lawyer for a Saskatchewan man charged in a case that sparked an Amber Alert earlier this month says he doesn’t believe his client would deliberately abduct a child.
Bill Archer says he has dealt with 19-year-old Johnathan Ryann Gunville in the past, and while he is still learning details about the case, if it was Gunville he — quote — “stole a car, not a kid.”
Police have said a six-year-old girl was in a running sport-utility vehicle when it was stolen outside a North Battleford business on September 16th.
The girl was later found safe inside the abandoned vehicle. (Canadian Press)
