The former CEO of the RCMP Heritage Centre in Regina, and a former Commissioner of the RCMP are Canada’s 2 newest Senators.
Prime Minister Trudeau announced the appointments of Marty Klyne and Beverly Busson to fill vacant seats from Saskatchewan and B.C to the upper chamber.
Klyne is Cree Metis, and at one point was also Chief Executive with the Regina Pats ownership group .
Busson rose through the ranks to become the first female commissioner of the Mounties. (CKRM)
