Just before midnight last night, an SUV was involved in a motor vehicle accident which resulted in the vehicle flipping onto its side.
The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to the scene at Idylwyld Drive and 25th Street with one engine and one rescue unit.
Once crews arrived, they found the vehicle on its side with two of the seven people still trapped inside.
Some of the people were able to exit the SUV through the rear hatch before crews arrived.
One of the two people still trapped inside were also able to exit out the rear hatch while the second occupant required cutting tools to get out from the front passenger seat area.
It took crews 20 minutes to complete the process of rescuing the trapped occupants.
Four people were then taken to hospital with what appears to be minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
