The President of the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation is questioning the current government’s approach to bargaining, wages and crown remuneration. Patrick Maze says while the Education Minister is asking for teachers to take pay cuts, CEO’s of Crown Corporations are getting raises anywhere from 16 to 26 per cent. Maze adds that every teacher has the right to be upset over this.
The President says asking teachers to take less while at the same time letting others raid the treasury is wrong and that teachers have the right to be angry.
