The work that the Saskatchewan Research Council is involved in has an economic impact of more than $772-million in direct benefits to the province’s economy and $42-million in jobs created and maintained. That’s from the SRC’s economic impact assessment numbers for the 2017-18 fiscal year. These numbers represent a record high year for the research and technology organization that takes projects to the point of commercialization. President and CEO Dr. Laurier Schramm says the SRC is focused on producing smart science solutions for clients and creating positive economic, environmental and social impacts in the province.
