Marking 20 years for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program, 31 new Canadians took the Oath of Citizenship at the Legislative Building in Regina today (Tues).
Immigration and Career Training Minister Jeremy Harrison says immigration has helped enrich our province.
Welcoming new Canadians means creating opportunity and spurring growth in Saskatchewan.
Harrison states that this province has the highest employment rate for newcomers in Canada.
Last year, the rate for Canadians who have been here less than 5 years who are between the ages of 25 and 54, was 76 per cent as opposed to a national employment rate of 70 per cent.
