The final season for Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan under the tent will feature two comedies.
The Artistic Producer for the summer festival has announced As You Like It and The Comedy of Errors will highlight the 2019 lineup.
Will Brooks felt it’s a fitting way to end their 35 years on the stage that gets set up and torn down each year.
Brooks said organizers wanted to create a summer of celebration by selecting two comedies.
Another major donation has been announced as the sod will be turned for the new permanent amphitheatre after the 2019 season
Bob Steane contributed 300-thousand dollars raising the capital building fund to 1.2 million.
Brooks said they are confident of hitting their target of 3.5 million dollars for the plan which includes lighting and improvements to the Meewasin Trail.
Over the winter ShakespeareLive will continue its performances and workshops at schools around the bridge city.
Meanwhile there is a plan to begin taking Titus A. puppet revenge on tour in 2019.
