The Saskatoon SPCA ‘Night to Howl’ Walk, run or bikeathon is tomorrow (sat) night on the 10 acres of rural property surrounding the animal shelter. Executive Director Patricia Cameron says if you are on the fence about the organization because you believe pets are euthanized, that’s a myth. There is no time limit for healthy, adoptable pets before they are put down. These animals stay until they find their new home. More than 4,000 animals a year come through the Saskatoon SPCA’s doors. That’s why they need to fundraise, and that’s what the event is all about. It’s a rain or shine event and your dog is welcome to join in. You don’t have to do the walk if you don’t want. Cameron says you can sit in the beer garden and have a bite to eat instead, while watching the action around you. Registration begins at 5:30 at the Saskatoon SPCA with the walk, bike or run beginning at 6:30.
