The tipis from the Legislative grounds in Regina are coming down. This after a Court of Queen’s Bench judge ordered the Justice For Our Stolen Children Camp to disperse. Spokesperson Robyn Pitawanakwat says the camp has been a place where many have come to share their stories. They are building a network of people who can support families as they bring their concerns to them, although Pitawanakwat is concerned the families that don’t know how to contact them will be at a loss. She says a lot of these families don’t have phones or access to the internet. The camp was established just under 200 days ago, protesting several issues, including injustice and the number of Indigenous children in care.
