Humboldt Broncos’ G-M and head coach Nathan Oystrick has decided not to name a team captain in memory of Logan Schatz…one of 16 people, 10 of whom were players, who perished on the road to a playoff game on April 6 in Nipawin.

Instead, two of three alternate captains are players who survived the crash…Brayden Camrud and Derek Patter. Michael Clark will also wear an “A.” The S-J-H-L regular-season opens Wednesday night in Humboldt. The Broncos return to action, following the bus tragedy, as they host the league-champion Nipawin Hawks. Note the start time of 6:30 to accomodate T-S-N’s national telecast.
