Saskatchewan is tied with Alberta for the lead after the first round of the inter-provincial team competition at the Canadian Senior Men’s Championship in Bathurst, New Brunswick.
Ken Rodgers of Regina and Rick Hallberg of Weyburn each carded two-over-par 74s Tuesday morning for Saskatchewan’s team total of 148. Individually, Rodgers and Hallberg are tied for eighth place, three strokes off the lead. Saskatchewan’s third team member, Tony Turay of Saskatoon, shot an 80. Non-team members Colin Coben of Delisle and Keith Silvernagle of Biggar came in at 81 and 82, respectively.
