It’s the first week of school for thousands of children in Saskatchewan, and SGI wants to make it a safe return to class.
SGI’s Tyler McMurchy says as part of their program to urge safety, they’ve issued a report card for last year, where the province gets average marks. He says there were 20 collisions in school zones last year, resulting in two pedestrian injuries. There were also more than 18 thousand
convictions for speeding in school zones.
There were also 71 convictions for disobeying a school bus signal in 2017. (CKRM)
