The W-H-L’s 61-game pre-season schedule opens Thursday night in Prince Albert with the Raiders hosting the Saskatoon Blades.
“Traditionally, this game is meant to be a ‘Young Guns Game’ if you want to call it (that),” said Mitch Love in advance of his debut as Blades head coach. “So, a lot of our younger players will be involved and some of our veterans won’t be. But, we play Friday and Saturday in Regina (in the Pats’ Tournament against Moose Jaw and Swift Current, respectively) and those guys that won’t play on Thursday will get a chance there.”
The Bridge City Bunch have 35 players on their pre-season roster while P-A has cut down to 29. Game time Thursday is 7 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre.
