13 people were aboard a ski boat Friday night when it sank in Lake Diefenbaker. Swift Current Rural RCMP say, from what they have determined, it was windy and a large wave hit the boat around 9:30 p.m. All of the passengers were from the Saskatoon area; 9 of them were found on the shoreline but they called 9-1-1 around 12:30 am when they couldn’t four people still missing. Swift Current Rural RCMP, with their boat, along with Morse RCMP and the Beechy Fire and Ambulance responded to capsized boat.. The other four people were discovered on the south shore of the lake. All thirteen people on the boat were wearing life jackets and no-one was injured. The incident is still under investigation and no charges have been laid at this time.
