Curling Canada made the announcement Tuesday. Each of the 10 scholarship recipients receives a $2,500.00 award. The group of 10 was chosen from among 60 applicants by a panel of seven members of the Curling Canada Foundation. The successful recipients were judged according to their academic accomplishments and aspirations, their curling achievements and their volunteer contributions within their communities. In order to be eligible, applicants needed to be enrolled full-time for at least two semesters at a Canadian university or college plus be registered to compete for Canadian Team Ranking System points for the upcoming season.
