Regina Police wrapped up their standoff in the 400 block of Connaught Street this morning and arrested one male suspect, without injury to anyone involved. Several other people in the home were also taken into custody and Regina Police say further details will be forthcoming. Criminal charges are expected; Regina Police say the incident, involving crisis negotiators as well as the Special Weapons and Tactics team, is related to a larger investigation.
Regina Police say they have busted an illegal cannabis dispensary in the 21-hundred block of Albert Street. Last Friday, search warrants were executed at a home of one of the accused as well as the Albert Street location. Customers were asked to leave the business when police arrived and their search, they say, yielded a large quantity of cannabis marijuana, cannabis resin and cash. 35 year old Cameron Gordon Graham, 32 year old Ryan Dustin Akehurts and 27 year old Darian Mitchell Tonge, all of Regina, face numerous drug and weapons charges and are in court again on October 3rd.
