On Friday just before the noon hour, Spiritwood RCMP were called to business in Shell Lake.
The complainant said they saw suspect attempting to steal a licence plate from a vehicle parked on the street.
When the complainant approached the suspect, the suspect pointed what appeared to be a shotgun at the complainant.
The suspect then fled the area in a silver, four-door vehicle and headed north through Shell Lake.
RCMP officers began searching for the suspect vehicle and pursuit was initiated at 12:01. The suspect continued through the Ahtahkakoop First Nation and Mont Nebo.
The suspect then turned east-bound towards Shellbrook, slowed down and surrendered.
Carlos Ratt faces multiple charges including unsafe storage of firearms.
He’ll make his first court appearance tomorrow in Prince Albert Provincial Court.
