By-Election called for Regina

Premier Scott Moe has called a provincial by-election for September 12th. It is to fill the vacant seat of Regina Northeast. The by-election was called after the resignation of Kevin Doherty. He said in March that he wanted to pursue opportunities in the private sector. Doherty was first elected in 2011 and served as Minister in a number of portfolios including Parks, Culture and Sport, Finance, and Advanced Education.
