The night sky is expected to light up over the next few nights with tiny streaks of light.
These are meteors from a meteor shower known as the Perseid meteor shower.
The meteors will burn quite brightly as they travel through the atmosphere at high speeds.
Those who want to see the light show can look up at the night sky Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The annual light show coincides this year with the new moon, meaning that the meteors won’t have to compete with any moonlight.
