A Saskatoon Police Officer was sent to hospital with minor injuries after being bitten by a dog. Just before eight o’clock Saturday night, the officer was responding to a report of a break and enter in progress on the 14 hundred block of Idylwyld Drive North. As the officer approached the residence a large dog ran out of a shelter and lunged at the officer, biting his arm. The officer didn’t respond with any use of force because the dog was at the end of its chain. Animal control was contacted to speak with the owner.
