After a review of dash cam video from the Patrol vehicle involved in a collision in Saskatoon at the intersection of Idylwyld and 22nd Street, police now say it was the officer that struck the SUV. The police still say the 50 year old woman in the SUV did not yield to the emergency vehicle. Prior to the accident, the Patrol officer had been dispatched to a priority call and had his emergency equipment activated. He was heading west on 22nd Street and came to a stop at Idylwyld Drive, then proceeded through the intersection. The woman wasn’t injured, but the officer suffered minor injuries. The investigation continues with no decision yet on whether a ticket will be issued.
