It’s still Regina’s Ken Rodgers leading Weyburn’s Rick Hallberg by one stroke after two rounds of, both, the Saskatchewan Senior Men’s and Mid-Master Men’s Amateur Championships at Kenosee Lake.
Rodgers is at 149 through 36 holes and Hallberg at 150 after both carded 76s Wednesday. Tony Turay of Saskatoon and Jason Mohr of Carlyle are tied for third in both divisions another three strokes back of Hallberg going into the third and final round Thursday.
Elsewhere, Saskatchewan held on to fifth place as the inter-provincial team competition wound up at the Canadian Women’s Amateur. However, individually, none of the four Saskatchewan ladies made the 36-hole cut of eight over-par 150. Provincial champion Carla Odnokon of Saskatoon came closest with a 158 total after an 80 Wednesday at Marine Drive in Vancouver.
