Garage Fire Takes Down Power Line

A garage fire overnight has been ruled arson.

Saskatoon Fire Department issued an update indicating the fire investigator has finished on scene at 350 Avenue S South and ruled the fire as incendiary.

Saskatoon Light and Power had to be called in to deal with an arcing power line, as fire crews tried to put out the detached garage fire that started as a 9-1-1 call at 2 a.m. this morning.

The power line was down because of the intense heat of the fire. No one was hurt and there was about $10 thousand damage.
