First responders from Tisdale have received a tremendous amount of donations following the tragic night of Friday April 6th when the Humboldt Broncos team bus collided with a semi while on-route to an SJHL playoff game in Nipawin. Tisdale Fire Chief, Brian Minhinnick says they have received a total of $79 thousand from people all over. He says the money has been divided and given to a number of organizations who responded and helped assist in the collision that April night including the RCMP, the Tisdale Hospital, the Zenon Park Fire Department and the Tisdale Ambulance Care. The fire chief adds $50 thousand has stayed with the Tisdale Fire Department and that the support from people since the tragedy has been positive. He says with the new funds, the fire department will be able to go above and beyond what they already have.
