A 24 year old woman is facing a laundry list of charges which includes the assault on a 10 year old girl.
Around 7:20 last night, officers with the Saskatoon Police Bike Unit were called to a report of a woman causing a disturbance downtown. When they tracked down a suspect, there was a struggle and police say the woman spat on one of the officers before they could take her into custody.
Witnesses report the incident began when the woman entered a bar in the 200 block of 21st Street east, allegedly stole a drink from a customer, turned over some chairs and threw the glass at the customer before taking off on foot. The woman then reportedly kicked and punched parked vehicles before approaching a family walking in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue South which is when it is alleged she punched a 10 year old girl.
A 24 year old woman is facing 3 charges of Assault, Theft, Breach of Undertaking and Possession of Marijuana. The injuries to the 10 year old girl were minor.
