It turned out to be a replica handgun, but Prince Albert Police didn’t know that while pursuing a suspect on Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the 800 block of 18th Street West and found a man matching the description given by witnesses.
He fled on a bike when approached by police.
Patrol officers surrounded him in patrol cars and police say the suspect then dropped the bicycle and fled on foot.
He was apprehended and searched and that’s when a replica handgun and a steak knife were found in a jacket pocket.
A 25 year old man from Red Earth is charged with 2 counts of breaching his court order.
