If you are out fishing one of Saskatchewan’s lakes and come across a tagged fish, you are being asked to report the ID number to the email address or phone number printed on the tag as soon as possible. And if you can, the Ministry of Environment would appreciate knowing the tag colour, the species, the fish length or weight, location and date of capture – even a photo would work well. And if the fish are being released back into the water, you are asked to leave the tags on. Some of the lakes where you might find tagged fish include Tobin, Last Mountain, Buffalo Pound, Lake Diefenbaker, Qu’Appelle Lakes and Boundary Reservoir.
