The Provincial Government is putting money behind the development of autonomous farming technology. DOT Technology Corporation is getting $230 thousand to help with development of an autonomous tractor designed to complete various farm tasks such as seeding, spraying, and harvesting with minimal human supervision. The government funding will be provided over two years. The company is working with researchers at the University of Regina to develop technologies to enable the platform to function autonomously.
