A Brunskill School student had a near-drowning experience while on a class excursion to the Lawson Civic Centre Tuesday afternoon in Saskatoon.
The student was rescued from the swimming pool and lifeguards administered CPR until paramedics arrived.
The City of Saskatoon indicated the girl had been pulled unconscious from the pool. Medavie Health Services says they transported a 9 year old girl to hospital in stable condition.
Saskatoon Public Schools says doctors have indicated the student will be fine. The parents were notified and were able to go to the hospital to be with their daughter.
All City of Saskatoon pools require its lifeguards to have National Lifeguard Service certification.
