The Saskatoon Blades will open the 2018-19 regular season Fri Sept 21 in Swift Current.
The home-opener of the 68-game schedule is the next night against the defending WHL champion Broncos. And opening weekend could be even more interesting with Wednesday’s expected announcement of the hiring of former Blades bench boss Dean Brockman as the new head coach and director of hockey operations in speedy creek.
The Blades will also host the Broncos on New Year’s Day with opening face-off set for 2 p.m.
The schedule wraps up with the traditional home-and-home series against the Prince Albert Raiders March 16 and 17 with Friday night’s game at SaskTel Centre and Saturday’s at the Art Hauser Centre in Prince Albert.
The bi-annual B-C road trip begins Nov 24 in Prince George with teams in the U-S division visiting Saskatoon.
The vast majority of games will be on the weekend with 50 of the 68 game slated for Fri, Sat and Sun.
