Circle Drive at 33rd Street will be receiving a two and a half month rehabilitation project following the Canada Day long weekend.
The work will include asphalt removal and replacement as well as repairs to the deck and expansion joints to the Circle Drive northbound overpass.
Todd Grabowski, the City’s Manager of Asset Prevention for Bridges says the overpass was built in the 90’s and it became clear during the city’s annual deck testing program that work needed to be done to ensure that the overpass continues to serve its purpose for years to come.
Drivers can expect delays as northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.
Circle Drive southbound traffic will not be affected while the work is carried out.
Everyday, approximately 20 thousand vehicles pass over the northbound lanes of Circle Drive at 33rd Street.
