There have been First Nations protesters camping on the grounds of the Provincial Legislature since shortly after the Gerald Stanley trial where the Biggar area farmer was found not guilty in the shooting death of 22 year old Colten Boushie.
The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations is urging the provincial government to sit down with these people and hear their concerns.
FSIN Chief Bobby Cameron says the camp has been standing in solidarity for months, and trying to evict them shows a blatant disregard for First Nations people.
There was an eviction notice for the protesters to be off the Legislature grounds by June 5th, but several remain.
