Saskatoon Police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting that took place Monday night on the 600 block of Confederation Drive. A 22 year old woman standing on an apartment balcony was shot in the hand when a Volkswagen with four people inside pulled up and a person in the back seat fired a shot at the victim. Police say a 19 year old man is facing firearms charges. Officers were conducting a traffic stop on the 300 block of Avenue R South when they saw the suspect walk by and made their arrest. He is to be in court today [wed]. The shooting victim was taken to hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
