A 22 year old woman was shot in the hand around seven o’clock last night (mon) on the 600 block of Confederation Drive. Witnesses say she was standing on the balcony of an apartment building when a dark coloured Volkswagen pulled up with two men and two women inside. One of the people in the back seat fired a shot at the woman. Police don’t think this was a random act. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
