A 34 year old man from Florida has been charged in relation to a vehicle illegally entered Canada at the Morgan border crossing near Val Marie.
An Infiniti sports car broke through the barriers and travelled through a ditch to avoid stopping at the crossing.
The Shaunavon RCMP attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle was travelling at extremely high speeds.
The vehicle was then witnessed by Redcliff RCMP speeding through Medicine Hat.
Later, the suspect was arrested in Strathmore.
Selasie Onegus Turner is charged by the RCMP’s Integrated Border Enforcement Team with failing to report and failing to report goods.
The Shaunavon RCMP charges are flight from police and dangerous driving.
Turner is remanded in custody in Alberta and is also facing charges in that province.
