Today is the tribute to Joni Mitchell in Saskatoon. At 1:30 there will be a ceremony and plaque unveiling at the Broadway Theatre. Shortly after, the walk to the Joni Mitchell Promenade will commence over the Broadway Bridge to River Landing and the now newly named Promenade, a walk which is reminiscent of a route Joni Mitchell also walked in her youth. There will be a naming and plaque unveiling at River Landing at 2:30 pm including an Honour Song, words from the Mayor, a presentation by the Office of the Treaty Commissioner and stories from one Joni Mitchell’s childhood friends.
