One thing you don’t hear a lot about from Saskatoon City Police is parking lot enforcement. But they are assigning officers to specialized patrols in parking lots along the 35 hundred block of 8th Street East because of complaints from businesses. Apparently, people are loitering in the lots, drinking booze, and harassing customers. Police say, If signs are posted prohibiting loitering or parking, drivers and pedestrians are not to be on the property unless they are there as patrons of the businesses. So, officers will be more visible in the area during peak problem hours, along with regular patrols.
