The job vacancy rate in Saskatchewan was 2.1 per cent in the first quarter, with 7,200unfilled jobs, according to the Federation of Independent Business. That was the third lowest rate of the provinces. It was also a slight decrease. The CFIB says our weaker labour market led to the moderate decrease. Nationally, the rate of job vacancies maintained last quarter’s record high of three per cent, with over 400,000 private sector jobs remaining unfilled for at least four months.
