Stony Rapids RCMP conducted a focused enforcement on bootlegging between May 18th and the 20th.
Three bottles of alcohol were seized, with an approximate total value of $300 if they would have been illegally resold.
A 61 year old man from Black Lake has been charged in connection to this investigation.
Sgt. Uliski, the Sony Rapids/Black Lake Detachment Commander says the RCMP sits on a number of committees working on reducing bootlegging and the impact of alcohol in northern communities.
In the Black Lake area, police have met with the local Chief and Council and other community partners twice in the past six months to discuss alcohol strategies.
