A man from Saskatoon is facing multiple charges after an incident that happened just before 8 this morning in the 500 block of 4th Avenue North.
A resident in the area called police after seeing a man rifling through vehicles in a parking lot.
Officers then responded and confronted a man who matched the description.
At first the suspect, who was holding a knife in one hand and a pair of pliers in the other didn’t obey police, that’s when a conductive electrical weapon was deployed as the suspect attempted to flee.
There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
The 41 year old man will appear before a Justice of the Peace later today as he faces theft, mischief, assault of an officer, and several breaches of the court charges.
