The 12 S-J-H-L teams made 71 selections over six rounds duringĀ its Bantam Draft Friday in Nipawin.
With the first selection, La Ronge took forward Cash Arntsen of Swift Current. Plus, with the eighth choice, Humboldt picked left shooting defenceman Karter McNarland of the Saskatoon Generals Bantam squad.
The S-J-H-L announced before the Bantam Draft, and ahead of its annual general meeting this weekend in Nipawin, that it will hold a dispersal draft for the Broncos so they can re-stock their team with talent from the other 11 clubs following the tragic April 6th bus crash that claimed the lives of 11 players. The 13 that survived are not expected to play for Humboldt this season…either due to age graduation or because of their injuries.
