Kids who attended the Children’s Festival 30 years ago when it first began are now taking their own children to the event.
The Nutrien Children’s Festival of Saskatchewan is celebrating its 30th birthday at Kinsmen Park from Saturday through Tuesday.
Event spokesperson, Mandy Pravda, says the favourites like the Fossil Find and the giant Lego build are back.
There are theatrical productions, including one about a look at the future called the Land of Trash.
The one thing that remains the same through the 3 decades of the festival, Pravda says, is the quality of performances.
The list includes an African dance troupe, an up and coming country singer from Debden, Layton Ferster, acrobatics and a puppet ballet.
The Land is the theme for this year’s Children’s Festival – inviting everyone to play, learn and explore The Land in Kinsmen Park. More details available here.
