More and more Saskatoon residents are becoming familiar with the city’s notifynow emergency notification messages.
That from the Emergency Measures Organization after Thursday’s test message at 6 p.m.
So far, over 23-thousand residents have customized their notifynow profile, to get notifications for certain areas of the city.
Director of Emergency Planning, Pamela Goulden-McLeod, says they are pleased with that the number of people signing up continues to grow, but they would like to see more residents specifiying their preferred method of communication.
If your number is in the phone book, you may be in the system, but Goulden-McLeod says many people prefer texts or emails or all of these options.
