Families can celebrate spring along with Saskatoon Police learning how to fish at the Forestry Farm Trout Pond.
It’s the 12th annual Kids Fishing Forever Day on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 which is completely free for children 16 and under.
Fishing Forever Foundation sponsors the derby to highlight a day in the fresh air away from the electronic devices, enjoying nature and learning about conservation.
Spokesperson for the event, Ted Cawkwell says there will be volunteers including Saskatoon Police helping the kids with their fishing, if needed.
The equipment and bait is free, the parking is free and so is the barbecue.
